Lynn Mathews serves as the Superintendent of Public Works and has been employed with the town since 1979, serving for over thirty years. He began serving as the Superintendent of Public Works in July 2002. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Superintendent of Public Works from 1994-2002.  Mr. Mathews is responsible for all technical and administrative work overseeing the maintenance and repairs of the Town’s water and sewer distribution and collections systems, streets, signs, and snow removal.  Mr. Mathews oversees the entire staff of the Public Works Department and coordinates daily and long term projects. The department maintains town roadsides and is responsible for all mowing and tree removal on town right-of-ways.  Mr. Mathews also oversees the department’s budget, purchasing, vehicle maintenance, safety compliance, and addresses citizen concerns as they relate to the public works department.  He also serves as the town’s coordinator of all street lighting with the local electric service provider.   Mr. Mathews holds a Class 3 Waterworks Operations Licensure.
