Ligon Webb was elected to Luray's Town Council in November 2020. Ligon is a native of Nottoway County, Virginia, and he and his teenage daughters, Sylvia and Laurel, have lived in Luray since 2007. From 2006 to 2016, Ligon served as Luray's first Town Planner; he also served on the Page County Economic Development Authority and on Luray's Board of Zoning Appeals. Previously, Ligon worked as a Land Use Planner for Rockingham County, and as a planning intern for Chesterfield County. Currently, he is the Director of Planning & Building for Madison County, Virginia.  In total, Ligon possesses over 16 years of local government employment experience, and holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University in Urban Planning and Public Management.
