Bryan Chrisman was hired as Town Manager in February 2024. Prior to that, Mr. Chrisman served as the Assistant Town Manager of Luray for 16 years, as well as Interim Town Manager several times. Before coming to the Town of Luray Mr. Chrisman served as a Design Project Manager for Racey Engineering, PLC. Mr. Chrisman also worked for the Virginia Department of Health for 13 years as an Environmental Health Supervisor. Mr. Chrisman completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, with a Minor in Chemistry, while at Radford University. He also completed post-graduate work in Public Health Administration at UNC-Chapel Hill. His responsibilities with the Town of Luray include collaborating closely with the Mayor & Council to advance topics of interest and need, supporting the various Department Heads and their programs and projects, enhancing staff training, and providing technical support, and maintaining public communication and service. Mr. Chrisman’s goals for Luray include fiscal responsibility, maintaining quality programs, personnel, and facilities, and promoting business and citizen activities. Mr. Chrisman is a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International, a Life Loyal Sig of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, a founding father of the Kappa Zeta Chapter of Sigma Chi at Radford University, a Registered Environmental Health Specialist, a past president of the Virginia Environmental Health Association, a former board member for the Northern Virginia 4-H Center, and former Board President and former Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Front Royal Federal Credit Union. In his free time, Mr. Chrisman enjoys spending time with family and friends, destination vacations, and enjoying many outdoor activities.
