NOTICE

The Virginia Department of Transportation and PavCon, the contractor, wish to

notify you of ROAD WORK at the following location:

‍

East Main Street

(from Painter Street to Dry Run Road)

All Four (4) Lanes

‍

These segments are planned for Milling & Paving day work from

Monday, September 18 through Friday, September 22, 2023 (weather permitting)

‍

Pavement marking will occur soon thereafter.

Temporary lane tabs will be in-place.

‍

PLEASE BE ALERT FOR THE SHORT-TERM LANE CLOSURES AND

TRAFFIC INTERRUPTIONS THAT WILL AFFECT DRIVING/WALKING

IN THESE SECTORS. INTERMITTENT FLAGGING OPERATIONS

MAY OCCUR.

A MINIMUM OF ONE LANE, ONE-WAY TRAFFIC WILL BE

MAINTAINED IN EACH DIRECTION AT ALL TIMES BY THE

CONTRACTOR.

Loose gravel and uneven pavement/concrete will be present during the work.

Unmarked Travel Lanes will exist. Please observe Temporary Lane Tabs.

Dust, noise, short traffic delays and altered travel-ways will likely occur.
