Town of Luray 45 East Main Street P. 0. Box 629 Luray, Virginia 22835 PRESS RELEASE On August 14, 2017 at its regular meeting, the Luray Town Council made several significant decisions. After clarifying that the Council never considered spending $100,000 to hire a consulting group to recruit an Interim Town Manager, the Council evaluated its options and elected to continue having Bryan Chrisman serve as Acting Town Manager. Additionally, the Council will be hosting a Town Hall meeting to solicit input from the community on what skills and traits are important for the next Town Manager to possess. The Council will then continue with their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The Council also took the following actions: Approved Text Amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances Approved a Rezoning Request from Baker Development to rezone 18 lots in the Luray Landing Planned Neighborhood Development (behind Walmart) from PND to Business conditioned upon a Signed Buffering Agreement between the Developer and the owner of 203 Allison Drive (Hyltoft).
