The Town of Luray Public Works and Police Departments wish to

notify you of Utility & Street Construction in the following location:

East Main Street

(between Broad Street and the RR Tracks)

‍

This segment is planned for excavation, asphalt patching

and concrete replacement work from

Monday, March 18 up to Friday, May 10, 2024

(weather-permitting).

‍

Work will primarily be conducted in the parking lane,

gutter pan and sidewalk edges. The entrance to the

Town office parking lot will be replaced.

Plans and specifications for the project are available

for review at the Town office.

PLEASE BE ALERT FOR THE SHORT-TERM PARKING LANE CLOSURES AND

TRAFFIC INTERUPTIONS THAT WILL AFFECT DRIVING/WALKING IN

THESE SECTORS. INTERMITTENT FLAGGING OPERATIONS MAY OCCUR.

The Contractor, Chris Judd, will be working with individual businesses to reduce

parking and pedestrian access impacts as much as possible during this project.

‍

Loose gravel and uneven pavement/concrete will be present during the work.

Dust, noise, short traffic delays, and altered travel-ways will likely OCCUR.
