The Town of Luray is excited to announce that the 20th Annual Youth Trout Derby pre-registration is now open!
The Youth Trout Derby is a free event for ages 2-15. The event check-in will take place at the Rt. 340 N Park & Ride (119 Commuter Ct), starting at 7:00am. Youth Anglers will be required to check-in/register prior to beginning fishing. Fishing will take place from 7:00am to 12:00pm. Lunch, door prizes, and visiting with vendors will take place from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, each youth angler will be provided with one meal ticket and a goody bag containing snacks and more upon checking in/registering. Participants will check-in their catch at noon to be measured and weighed. Competition-based prizes will be awarded in nearly 30 categories.
Winner ceremony will take place from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
The link below will allow participants to pre-register ahead of the event, but registration will be available the morning of as well. Pre-register prior to the event to ensure maximum fishing time!
